Town of Minetto to Town of Schroeppel - Oswego River Water Chestnut Pesticide Application

Negative Declaration

Oswego County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Oswego River Water Chestnut Pesticide Application will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the application of aquatic herbicide within regulated NYS Freshwater Wetland areas along Oswego River to control the invasive species water chestnut (Trapa natans L). Application rates will follow label restrictions and will be applied via agricultural drone and airboat. The project is located along the Oswego River from the Town of Minetto to South Phoenix in the Town of Schroeppel, New York.
