Video: Lautz and Smith will provide their housing perspectives to you

Watch today's video and find out what's in store for you at the Housing Forecast session of the 2024 Fall Business Meetings in September.

Jessica Lautz, deputy chief economist and vice president of research at the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) will provide you with a national housing forecast, while Geoff Smith, executive director and principal investigator of the Institute for Housing Studies at DePaul University will give the state forecast.

Lautz, who has served NAR in her position since 2007, is frequently sought by major media outlets for her insightful analysis of real estate trends. She has also testified before Congress on behalf of NAR. In addition, Lautz serves as a committee chair for the National Association of Business Economics, mentors real estate graduate students at Nottingham Trent University and has been the recipient of HousingWire's Women of Influence award.

Armed with a strong background in research of neighborhood housing dynamics, Smith has established the Institute for Housing Studies as a pivotal resource for timely research, policy analysis and data shaping national and local housing policy discussions. His expertise has led him to testify before the U.S. House Financial Services Committee and the Federal Reserve Board. He is a recognized voice on housing issues and is regularly quoted in publications like the Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tonight and NBC Nightly News.
