Homicide Investigation - 22000 block of Santa Clara Street

HAYWARD, Calif., On August 26,2024,at approximately 3:25 p.m., officers responded to the report of ashooting near the 22000 block of Santa Clara Street.

Officers arrived on scene and locateda 36-year-old male suffering from gunshotwounds.Medical personnel responded and pronounced the man deceased at the scene.

The victim's identity is known but is not being released at this time, pending formal identification protocols by the Alameda County Coroner's Office and notifications to next of kin.

There is no one in custody at this time. This investigation is ongoing and additional details will be released when they are available.
