Lauren Siple, Parks & Recreation Department

The Parks and Recreation Department would like to spotlight Lauren Siple, Athletic Coordinator, for going the extra mile (literally) with a participant at the Baytown Summer Track Cross Country Meet held at Jenkins Park on June 26^th. An athlete in the under 10 division was late to the competition and was struggling to catch up to the group. Lauren took it upon herself to join in and run the cross-country course with the athlete so that he wasn't running alone.

Lauren's actions demonstrate the spirit of teamwork and the Parks and Recreations Department's commitment to every participant's experience while enjoying an event or program.
