Greenberg Traurig Deal Wins 2024 Bond Buyer Innovative Financing of the Year Award

NEW YORK - Nov. 11, 2024 - Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP represented Brightline Trains Florida LLC on its $5.5 billion debt recapitalization, which won Innovative Financing of the Year at the 2024 Bond Buyer Deal of the Year Awards. The awards ceremony will be held Dec. 3.

The Brightline recapitalization was the largest private-activity bond issuance in 2024 and the first investment-grade debt for American high-speed rail. Brightline is the only privately owned and operated passenger rail system built in the United States in the past 100 years.

The Bond Buyer Deal of the Year Awards recognize outstanding achievements in municipal finance transactions throughout the year. As recipient of the Innovative Financing Deal of the Year, Greenberg Traurig also is eligible for the national Deal of the Year Award, which will be announced at the awards ceremony.
