NOW Thanks President Biden and Endorses Vice President Harris

WASHINGTON, D.C. -Christian F. Nunes, National NOW President, issued the following statement on President Joe Biden's decision not to seek re-election:

"President Joe Biden has made a difficult decision to stand down as a candidate for re-election, putting the best interests of his party and the country above his personal, political future. The Biden-Harris administration has done more to champion women's rights and advance equity than any of their predecessors. Joe Biden has earned his place in history and in our hearts.

And now, as President Biden passes the torch to Vice President Kamala Harris, we look forward to electing a Black and Indian woman president and finally crashing that last glass ceiling over the White House. Kamala Harris will speak to what women want and need in this election-a champion for their rights-including reproductive rights-and a fighter for democracy itself.
