The buzz was palpable at Agentforce World Tour NYC this week, where over 10,000 Trailblazers gathered to get hands-on with AI agents and discover what AI was meant to be.
A key highlight of the event was a new, two-day hackathon that saw 45 teams compete to build some of the world's most exciting agents using Agentforce.
Agentforce, a new layer on the Salesforce Platform that enables companies to easily build and deploy AI agents that can autonomously take action across any business function, goes beyond chatbots and copilots. It uses advanced reasoning abilities to make decisions and take action, such as resolving customer cases, qualifying sales leads, and optimizing marketing campaigns.
Working in teams of up to five over 36 hours, 123 Salesforce admins, architects consultants, IT managers, and business analysts competed for a $20,000 prize. They brainstormed, designed, and built agents for everything from financial services to patient management, to employment services, and higher education.
The hackathon winner was Team 4DS, who earned the first place prize from the judges with an agent that brought employees together by planning events, suggesting dining spots, and managing expenses to spark connection and engagement.
The $20,000 prize was handed to them on stage at Agentforce World Tour NYC by Salesforce Co-Founder and Slack CTO, Parker Harris.
