Andhra Pradesh notifies the Andhra PradeshIntegrated Clean Energy Policy-2024 highlighting strategies for large-scale deployment of renewable energy, pumped storage power, green hydrogen and its derivatives. The policy will be valid for five years and the government will release separate guidelines laying out the incentives for investors and developers. Haryana launches the Haryana State Action Plan on Climate Change and Human Health, as part of the National Programme for Climate Change and Human Health. The programme is designed to strengthen the health sector's ability to respond effectively to climate-related challenges. The action plan has been devised with a multi-faceted approach to address the impact of climate change on health with an aim to raise awareness about air pollution, heat waves, and vector-borne diseases through community engagement and information, education, and communication campaigns. Chhattisgarh approves the Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Policy 2024-29. The new policy to come into effect from November 1, 2024 and will continue till March 31, 2030. The policy offers various stipulations to establish a new benchmark in the industrial development of the state. The policy aligns the state's definition of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with the central government's amendment issued in 2020. The policy focuses on expanding the investment in key sectors including pharmaceuticals, textile, food processing, agricultural product preservation, non-timber forest products processing, electronic products, information technology and IT-enabled services. Karnataka approves the KarnatakaTourism Policy 2024-29, allocating $160.4 million to develop essential infrastructure and attract international tourists in the state. Source: Business Standard
Delhi approves the Delhi Anywhere Registration Policy. As per the policy, residents in the state will able to register their property at any sub-registrar office at their convenience after making online appointments. The policy removes the requirement for citizens to visit a specific sub-registrar office depending on their home address. Source: Economic Times
Andhra Pradesh launches the "Deepam - 2" policy under which the government will distribute a free cooking gas cylinder in different villages in the state. The policy offers three cylinders per annum to eligible women beneficiaries at the rate of one cylinder, every four months. The beneficiaries will need a white ration card, a linked bank account, and an existing gas connection to be eligible for the scheme.
