Update: Escaped offender captured
State correctional and local law enforcement officers are seeking offender Christopher Greer (#0620836), who escaped Friday morning from Caldwell Correctional Institution in Lenoir.

UPDATE: Offender Christopher Greer (#0620836) was captured without incident at 7:25 a.m. on foot a short distance from the prison in Lenior.

State correctional and local law enforcement officers are seeking offender Christopher Greer (#0620836) who escaped Friday morning from Caldwell Correctional Institution, a minimum-security prison in Lenoir.
Greer, 44, is a white male and habitual felon convicted in Guilford County. His scheduled release date is in 2028.
Please do not approach. If you see him, call 911 to alert local authorities.
