8/9/24 Attempted Business Burglary

(PEORIA, IL) Thursday, August 8, 2024, at approximately 11:52 p.m. Peoria Police responded to the 4800 block of N. Sheridan Road on a report of two subjects damaging the window of a business (Walgreens), to gain entry.

When officers arrived, the suspects were not located.


During a search of the area police located two male juveniles (14 years old and 13 years old) matching the description of the suspects in the 100 block of W. Northland Avenue. The juveniles immediately fled on foot but were quickly apprehended and taken into custody.

Both juveniles were arrested for Attempted Business Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property, and Obstructing Police.

The 14-year-old male was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.

The 13-year-old was released into the custody of his mother.
