I-376 Nightly Closures Begins Monday in Lawrence County

​Pittsburgh, PA - PennDOT District 11 is announcing nightly closures on I-376 in Union Township, Lawrence County, will begin Monday, July 8 weather permitting.

Starting Monday, nightly closures will occur on westbound I-376 between the Butler/Route 422 East (Exit 15) and State Street/Poland, OH/Route 224 (Exit 13) interchanges weeknights from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and weekends from 5 p.m. to 11 a.m. through early August. Crews will perform milling and paving operations, in addition to other miscellaneous work. During the nightly closure, traffic will be detoured.

  • Take the Butler/Route 422 East (Exit 15) exit
  • Take the Moravia Street/Route 168 exit on the right
  • Turn right on Route 168 (W. Pittsburgh Road)
  • Turn right onto westbound Route 422
  • Continue on westbound Route 422 until it merges with westbound I-376
  • End detour

    Additionally starting Monday, nightly closures will occur on the ramp from Route 224 to eastbound I-376 weeknights from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and weekends from 5 p.m. to 11 a.m. through mid-July. Crews will perform milling and paving operations, in addition to other miscellaneous work. During the nightly ramp closure, traffic will be detoured.

  • Turn left onto Mitchell Road
  • Bear right to take the ramp to eastbound I-376
  • End detour

    This work is part of the $8.34 million improvement project to repair the bridges over the roadway and repave I-376 and Route 422. Work will include milling and paving, bridge preservation, sign structure preservation, guide rail, drainage, signing, pavement marking/delineation, and other miscellaneous operations. Motorists can expect overnight lane restrictions and several nightly ramp closures before the project concluded in the fall of 2024. Lindy Paving, Inc. is the prime contractor.
