In an interview with Zerlina Maxwell on SiriusXM Progress (Ch. 127), Governor Tim Walz discussed former President Donald Trump 's recent remarks about former Congresswoman Liz Cheney, abortion rights and reproductive freedom, and whether Trump will accept the election results if he loses.
Listen to the premiere of the interview in cars and on the SiriusXM app today at 5:30pm ET on "The Michelangelo Signorile Show," with rebroadcasts on other SiriusXM Progress shows throughout the weekend and on "Mornings with Zerlina." on Monday.
Tim Walz responds to Trump's remarks about Liz Cheney: "Well, it's sickening but not surprising. This is exactly what [Trump] does. He totally disrespected fellow citizens in Puerto Rico. He continues to churn up this type of talk. It inspires his way of thinking about things. But the good news is that there's an antidote to this, the firewall that is voting for Kamala Harris is how we stop this. You heard her talking about - look, I'm gonna listen to different people, I'm gonna respect you. She's lived her whole life that way and there's a distinct difference. And so when I hear it, yeah, it's sickening, it's un-American. But it also just inspires me and I hope it does a whole bunch for your listeners. This is why they need to go vote. This is why we need to put an end to this. This is why we need to get that new way forward that the vice president keeps talking about that is truly American. So it just inspires me to go work more. But it is unacceptable behavior and that's why Donald Trump needs to get nowhere near the Oval Office."
