Possible Traffic Delays Monday Morning and Afternoon during Event
The Wheaton Police Department received notice from Immigrant Solidarity DuPage of an event that may affect traffic in an area just south of downtown Wheaton from 8 a.m.-9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, and at approximately 2 p.m. The affected area will be from Naperville Road to the west, Liberty Drive to the north, Chase Street to the east, and Indiana Street to the south. While streets will remain open, we are providing this notice because the event may cause traffic delays, and drivers in this area may want to choose an alternate route.
Organizers have informed the Police Department that participants will be parking along side streets in this area between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., leaving in a caravan at approximately 9 a.m., and returning to the same area around 2 p.m.
