The City of Alexandria's Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities (RPCA) is a publicly funded park system that offers essential services funded by tax dollars and free to use by the public. Cost recovery through user fees, charges, and other methods is a responsible way to supplement tax revenue and enhance community services. To determine how tax dollars are allocated, RPCA collects input from the public to understand how much the community benefits from its services.
