Junior Alexa Nunez '26 spent the summer learning valuable marketing skills during an internship with the Community Engagement Team at the San Antonio Humane Society.

This summer, communications major Alexa Nunez '26 knew that she wanted to gain professional experience in the marketing industry. Spurred by her love for animals, she landed an internship with the Community Engagement Team at the San Antonio Humane Society. During her internship, she received first-hand exposure to marketing across a variety of mediums, from television, to in-person events, to social media. In addition to spending quality time with some furry friends in San Antonio, Nunez learned valuable skills that she plans to apply in her future communications courses and confirmed her interest in pursuing a career in marketing.
