Summer is often a time to refresh, renew, and relax, and I hope you are doing all of the above.

This month's Alumni Update features stories about our new president, Jonathan R. Alger. President Alger previews his goals for his first year on campus and how he sees DC as home. I look forward to welcoming him along with you, and I know we'll do great things to advance this institution together.

Finally, please save the date for our annual Multicultural Alumni Reunion on September 27-29! It's right around the corner, taking place alongside Family Weekend again this year. We have a jam-packed calendar of events, including a community-wide festival celebrating the success of the Change Can't Wait campaign. I hope to see you.
