East Johnson Avenue Closures to Begin Sept. 4

East Johnson Avenue between Laurel Avenue and Argo Drive will be closed to through traffic beginning Wednesday, Sept. 4, while crews install pipe and utility lines.

Detours will be in place along Chemstrand Road, Johnson Avenue, Argo Drive, Ensley Street and Laurel Avenue. East Johnson Avenue is expected to reopen by Friday, Sept. 27.

Residents, pedestrians, local traffic and emergency vehicles will have access to properties within the work area at all times; however, there may be short periods when a driveway or entrance may be blocked temporarily as equipment and materials are moved during construction. Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through work zones.

If other roadway closures are necessary or work is delayed, another notice will be issued.
