A Lindley man is arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd

On July 11, 2024, troopers from SP Painted Post were dispatched to Carriage Drive in the town of Lindley for the report of a distraught male with a loaded firearm wandering around the residence.

An investigation determined that Harry L. Adler II, age 42, of Lindley, NY, was in possession of a loaded pump action shotgun and was previously convicted of a felony preventing him from owning firearms, rifles, or shotguns. A search of the residence was conducted, and several other firearms were located within Adler's residence, two of which were determined to be assault weapons.

Adler was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd (D Felony) and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th (A Misdemeanor). Adler was arraigned in Steuben County Centralized Arraignment Part Court and remanded to the jail.
