State Police arrest Providence man for Unlawful Surveillance

Press Release

On July 15, 2024, State Police of Fonda, with the assistance of the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit (CCU) and Forensic Investigation Unit (FIU), arrested Todd C. St Louis, 57, of Providence, NY, for Burglary in the second degree and Unlawful Surveillance in the second degree.

On June 11, 2024, at about 4:15 p.m., Troopers received a complaint from a Montgomery County resident. It was determined the victim had previously resided in Saratoga County, NY, and while living there in May 2024, they discovered a hidden surveillance camera within their residence. The investigation determined that St Louis reportedly entered the residence on multiple occasions without permission to place and maintain a recording device within the living area without the victim's knowledge or consent.

St Louis was arrested on July 15, 2024, following the execution of a search warrant at his Providence, NY, home. He was arraigned at the Edinburg Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash, a $2,500 bond, or a $5,000 partially secured bond.
