One-Time only Giveaway Limited Supply of Kraft Paper Yard Waste Bags for York City Curbside Customers Only

Fall has begun and leaves are starting to drop. The City of York has discontinued purchasing and selling Kraft paper yard waste bags due to the lack of demand and comparable paper bags are widely available at other stores (i.e. Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart, Target, BJs, Sam's Club).

The giveaway begins at 8 AM and continues until the available stock of bags is depleted, or until 11 a.m. at the latest, whichever comes first. Please note, we do not anticipate, nor guarantee, that our stock will last until 11 a.m.

These kraft paper yard waste bags should be used in York City for curbside collection of yard waste (NO Grass; NO trash). The 2024 final pick up of curbside yard waste in York City will be Monday, December 9th and Tuesday, December 10th, weather permitting.

With minimal stock of bags, there is a limit of 1 pack of 10 bags per "property" (not per apartment/unit) on a first come basis. Bags may not be picked up for multiple addresses by the same person. You must bring proof of City address to be eligible (i.e. driver's license, utility invoice). Addresses will be logged to ensure that only one (1) pack of bags is issued for any given property.
