Simms Again Proves that ‘Women Are Fly’

The brand's recent fundraiser supported Casting for Recovery, which improves the lives of women affected by breast cancer through fly-fishing retreats.

Earlier this month, Simms Fishing Products and The River's Edge fly shop sponsored the 15th annual "Women Are Fly," a fly-fishing event for anyone looking to connect with the local female angling community.

Women Are Fly welcomed more than 150 women during the two-day event in Bozeman. The festivities included casting classes and learning stations, and the event raised money for Casting for Recovery, a charitable organization that organizes free fly-fishing wellness retreats and is dedicated to improving the lives of women affected by breast cancer.

Diane Bristol, Vice President, People, Culture & Community for the Revelyst Outdoor Performance platform, said 100 percent of proceeds from the event's raffle ticket sales went to CFR to support them and their cause.

"I can't help but think that the continued success of this event, now 15 years, helps to grow and foster our female angling community," Bristol said.
