On October 17, the vehicle management team at Shendong Buertai Coal Mine modified the steering auxiliary lights of explosion-proof trackless rubber-tired vehicles, further reducing safety hazards and enhancing the safety of auxiliary transportation within the mine.

In collaboration with the vehicle team, the vehicle management team modified the steering auxiliary lights of explosion-proof trackless rubber-tired vehicles after extensive discussions, design iterations, and trials. The new steering auxiliary lighting system consists of two sets of lights and two travel switches. These are connected to the vehicle's onboard intrinsic safety power supply, with the switches positioned on the front beam of the vehicle and spring clips placed on both sides of the steering tie rod. When the steering wheel reaches a preset angle (currently set at 30 degrees), the spring clip contacts with the travel switch, powering on the steering auxiliary light. When the steering tie rod resets its position, the spring clip disengages from the travel switch, turning off the steering auxiliary light. The steering auxiliary lights provide advanced illumination for areas not yet reached by the vehicle, ensuring all-round safety lighting and optimal visibility for the driver at all times.

Upon its operation, the device will help illuminate blind spots when vehicle turns to enhance driving safety. The successful modification will eliminate major hidden risks related to visibility in blind spots, providing support for the safe operation of the mine.
