Ecuador National Day

On behalf of the government of the United States and the American people, I send warm greetings to the Ecuadorian people as you celebrate the 215th anniversary of your independence.

The United States and Ecuador share a strong and dynamic partnership, rooted in our commitment to democracy and to expanding economic opportunity. Our collaborative efforts in trade, investment, and innovation - bolstered by our mutual commitment to the Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity - have not only strengthened our economies but have also helped conserve Ecuador's unique biodiversity and precious natural resources. Our commitment to ensure safe, orderly, and humane migration recognizes the importance of protecting the rights and dignity of all individuals. Through joint efforts to combat transnational crime, enhance border security, and promote regional stability, we are working to create a safer environment for all.
