Statement by Palazzo Chigi on the situation in Venezuela

The Italian Government continues to follow the situation in Venezuela with great concern, in close coordination with international partners.

Italy calls upon the Venezuelan authorities to respect the rights of all citizens and to free all political opponents, firmly condemning any threat to or deprivation of civil liberties.
