The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred this evening.

On December 1, 2024, around 8:44 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Versailles Road reference shots fired. A short time later, a male victim arrived at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim succumbed to his injuries. The Fayette County Coroner's Office will release the decedent's name.
