ACCGov Schedule & Service Changes for Labor Day Holiday

Animal Services

• The Animal Shelter will be closed on Monday, September 2, resuming regular hours on Tuesday, September 3 for fosters, adoptions, and rescues.
• Animal Services officers will not be available for non-emergency calls on Monday, September 2. Non-emergency service calls will resume on Tuesday, September 3.
• Emergency services - such as an animal bite, a seriously sick or injured animal, or an animal trapped inside a living space of a home - will be provided throughout the holiday by calling 911.

Leisure Services

• All Leisure Services parks will operate with regular hours on Monday, September 2. Sandy Creek Park will also be open.
• All other department facilities (Sandy Creek Nature Center, Lyndon House Arts Center, all community centers) will be closed on Monday, September 2 and will reopen Tuesday, September 3 with regular hours of operation.

Solid Waste

• Solid Waste offices will be closed on Monday, September 2.
• Residential garbage and recycling collection will be delayed by one day and collected as follows: collection normally scheduled for Monday will be collected on Tuesday, Tuesday collection will be collected on Wednesday, Wednesday collection will be collected on Thursday, and Thursday collection will be collected on Friday.
• Downtown district commercial and residential curbside, roll cart, and dumpster garbage and recycling services will be collected as regularly scheduled.
• All other commercial curbside, roll cart, and recycling services will be delayed by one day and collected as follows: collection normally scheduled for Monday will be collected on Tuesday, Tuesday collection will be collected on Wednesday, Wednesday collection will be collected on Thursday, and Thursday collection will be collected on Friday.
• Leaf and limb collection will delay pickup by one day, beginning on Tuesday, September 3 through Friday, September 6, tentatively finishing Area A and beginning Area B. The area is subject to change based on the final collection from the week of August 26 - visit accgov.com/leaflimb for updates.
• The Materials Recycling Facility will be closed on Monday, September 2. Regular hours of 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM resume on Tuesday, September 3.
• The Landfill will be closed on Monday, September 2. Regular hours of 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM resume on Tuesday, September 3.
• The CHaRM Facility is only open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Its schedule will not change for the holiday.

Transit

• Transit offices are closed and bus service is suspended on Monday, September 2.
• All Transit services resume on Tuesday, September 3.

Other Offices

All general departmental administrative offices and facilities (City Hall, Courthouse, Satula Avenue Building, Dougherty Street Governmental Building) will be closed on Monday, September 2. Regular hours of operation resume Tuesday, September 3.
