Park Board Approves Donation and Sponsorship Policies

The Board of Park Commissioners of the City of Troy is excited to announce new sponsorship and donation opportunities in City parks. Park Superintendent Jeremy Drake suggested the creation of a formal process after receiving interest from businesses and parents' associations wanting to invest in green space and athletic fields.

Those new policies and procedures were adopted at the Park Board's August 19 meeting to create a standardized process for connecting the Park Board with businesses and individuals wishing to support parks in our community and to provide recognition for donors and sponsors. Recognition in the parks, with signage on amenities like scoreboards, concession stands, backstops, and signage, must be approved by the Park Board and City Council.
