Registration for City’s 2025 winter recreation programs opens on December 9

BRAMPTON, ON- Today, the City of Brampton released its lineup of recreation programs for the winter 2025 session. Residents and patrons are encouraged to explore a wide range of programs designed to suit all ages and interests.

Last winter, the City welcomed more than 32,000 registrants and Brampton Recreation aims to connect even more patrons with programs this upcoming session.

Key dates

  • All winter programs, including Brampton Sports League, are now viewable as of Monday, November 25 at 12 am.
  • Resident registration for most winter programs, including Sports, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) and Brampton Sports League starts on Monday, December 9 at 6 am.
  • Learn to Swim and Learn to Skate Programs resident registration is on Monday, December 16 at 6 am.
  • March Break Camp registration for residents begins Monday, December 9, 2024.
  • Registration for most programs ends January 27.

Program highlights for the winter 2025 session

Indoor Tennis Programs

Register for indoor tennis programs and keep your skills sharp this winter. Lessons are available for a variety of age groups and levels. Programs are located at Chinguacousy Park Sandra Hames Centre and the new Rosalea Park Winter Tennis Facility. Learn more at brampton.ca/registerforprograms.

More programs for residents aged 55 and older (A55+)

The City of Brampton is expanding recreation programming for ​individuals aged 55 and older (A55+), giving residents more choices in how they stay healthy and active. As part of the 55+ expansion, a variety of program opportunities including registered and drop-in programs, as well as special events have been added to the schedule at locations across the city. General Programs: Learn, Create and Explore

The City of Brampton offers residents exciting opportunities to explore their passions and develop new skills. From art and crafts to STEAM workshops and personal development courses, these programs provide something for everyone. Skating Programs: Glide into Winter Fun

The City of Brampton's skating programs are back with more opportunities to hit the ice and stay active this winter. Programs include learn to skate sessions, drop-in skating, and specialized options like outdoor skating lessons at Gore Meadows Community Centre's covered outdoor rink. Brampton Sports League

Brampton Sports League is an opportunity for individuals aged 18 and older of all skill levels to play recreational sports in a social and supportive environment. This season offers Cricket, Dodgeball, Flag Football, Spikeball, Touch Rugby, Ultimate Frisbee and Volleyball. Registration for the Brampton Sports League winter 2025 season opens in December, with the season for most sports beginning in January. Register for winter break day camps

Looking for ways to have more fun over the winter holiday break? Register for one of Brampton's winter holiday break day camps. Residents from ages 4 to 13 years old can explore a variety of programming, including sports, cooking and science camps. Camps will begin on December 23 and will be offered until January 3. Online Registration

To help ensure a seamless online registration process, residents are asked to:

  • Make sure you can log in to your online accountin advance.
  • Check your personal information on your account to ensure accuracy.
  • Browse programs in advance of registration day and make a shortlist.
  • Add your credit cardinformation to your account in advance. We can no longer accept financial information over the phone or via email.
  • Use the date range filter and select the next session date to browse available courses.
  • Do not refresh the page while payment is being processed.
  • The Google Chrome browser provides the best user experience.

Patrons will be added to a virtual waiting room on the day of registration to ensure a fair and equitable process and help improve the online registration experience.

In-person registration

Patrons can visit a recreation centre to register for programs. In addition, laptops are available at select recreation centres for City staff to support residents during registrations.

Financial Assistance for residents

ActiveAssist , generously sponsored by 407 ETR and Capital Power, is a fee subsidy program offered by the City of Brampton, designed to help low-income individuals and families in Brampton participate in recreation programs. This program is available for Brampton families who qualify. Approved applicants each receive a $275 credit, which can be used toward a wide variety of drop-in and registered, memberships and services. Each eligible ActiveAssist participant is enrolled for a two-year period.
