Houston Christian University (HCU) is proud to announce a new collaboration with the National Cybersecurity Training and Education Center (NCyTE), aimed at enhancing cybersecurity education and preparing students to address the challenges of today's dynamic digital environment.

This partnership aligns with HCU's mission to provide students with cutting-edge tools and techniques to tackle evolving cybersecurity threats. "We are collaborating with leading institutions like NCyTE to ensure our students are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of cybersecurity," said Dr. Stan A. Napper - Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Dr. Katie Evans, Dean of the College of Science and Engineering at HCU, added, "Through this collaboration, we aim to develop professionals who not only possess the technical skills to protect digital infrastructure but also uphold ethical standards to maintain a secure and responsible digital environment. I am particularly grateful to Dr. Stephen Lyford, coordinator for HCU's undergraduate cybersecurity program, who led the effort to establish this collaboration that will bring significant benefits to our students."

Dr. Davis Harbour, Chair of Engineering, highlighted the ABET accreditation of several of HCU's programs and an outstanding team of professors dedicated to imparting knowledge and preparing students for successful careers in the cybersecurity domain. "Our college offers a wide range of programs at the bachelor's and master's levels, delivered through in-person, online, and hybrid modalities to meet diverse student needs," said Dr. Harbour.

HCU currently offers several programs, including Bachelor's Degrees in Computer Science, Cyber Engineering, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, and Information Systems and various Master of Science programs such as Data Science and Cybersecurity. Soon, other programs in Artificial Intelligence and Computer and Information Sciences will be available in online and hybrid formats.

By combining NCyTE's focus on advancing cybersecurity education with HCU's commitment to academic excellence, the partnership aims to foster a highly skilled and ethically responsible cybersecurity workforce.
