The Tulare County Department of Child Support Services (TCDCSS) has teamed up with Valley Strong Credit Union to hold a Back-to-School Drive benefiting students in Dinuba.

The first-year event is collecting school supplies for first through third grade students at Jefferson Elementary in Dinuba. The drive runs through the end of July. Donations are being accepted for:

  • Backpacks
  • Pencils
  • Color Pencils / Crayons
  • Erasers
  • Composition Notebooks

"TCDCSS' mission is to enrich our community by providing child support services, giving back to families, and partnering with community when and where we can," said Roger Dixon, Child Support Services Director.

The response to this type of event is a true testament to a whole community partnership.

"While our vision is to educate and empower families with the knowledge and resources to promote the well-being of children, being able to partner with Valley Strong Credit Union to bring such an event to the local community, not only positively impacts the children in need, but it also contributes to their success moving forward," said Jennifer K. Guido, Child Support Services Assistant Director.

Donations are being accepted at three locations throughout Tulare County:

  • TCDSS, 8040 W. Doe Ave in Visalia
