AWDA Fosters Industry Future, Awards Six Scholarships to University of the Aftermarket Leadership 2.0

BETHESDA, Md. - July 30, 2024 - The Aftermarket Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA), a community of the Auto Care Association, once again solidified its position at the forefront of industry leadership by pledging support to continuing industry education by donating six scholarships for industry professionals to participate in the upcoming University of the Aftermarket Leadership 2.0 program.

AWDA Chairperson Ashlee Arnold of Arnold Oil Company of Austin said, "The University of the Aftermarket's Leadership 2.0 program are two of the most valuable weeks that an aftermarket professional can participate in to enhance their personal and professional skill set. A big part of what makes 2.0 so special is having the perspective from all channels of our industry, including the shop owners, this makes our entire industry stronger."

AWDA has a long history of advocating for, and supporting events and initiatives that sustain the entire industry. 2024 marks the continuation of a years-long contribution to the Leadership 2.0 program, a program that is attended by all different segments of our industry from manufacturers to distributors, technicians, as well as agencies and any other aftermarket professional.

"The University of the Aftermarket would like to congratulate the recipients of the AWDA Leadership 2.0 scholarship," said Dr. Thomas Litzinger, executive director, University of the Aftermarket. "Leadership 2.0 is a two-week tactical leadership-intensive program that will challenge and inspire participants to achieve better results for their organization. We would also like to recognize and compliment the AWDA community for its commitment to lifelong learning, professional development and for investing in the future leaders of our industry. AWDA's investment in our future leaders ensures a bright future for the traditional aftermarket community."

The 2024-2025 AWDA scholarship recipients are:

  • Jennifer Cothran, Pronto Network
  • Justin Holmquist, H&H Automotive (on behalf of VIPAR)
  • Tod Kindlespire, XL Parts / The Parts House
  • Logan Stoeffler, ASG Automotive (on behalf of Federated Auto Parts)
  • Alex Storie, Michigan CAT and Art Beffrey, A/1 Truck (on behalf of HDA Truck Pride)

    AWDA represents the very best in wholesale distribution of motor vehicle parts for both light vehicle and the heavy duty/ commercial vehicle segments nationwide. The 77-year-old organization is a key segment of the Auto Care Association.
