Proposals Accepted for Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Summit at UW in May

Proposals for next spring's Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Summit (WORS) at the University of Wyoming are now being accepted. The deadline to submit proposals is Friday, Jan. 31.

UW's Wyoming Outdoor Recreation, Tourism, and Hospitality (WORTH) Initiative and the Wyoming Office of Outdoor Recreation sponsor WORS, which aims to serve the state's outdoor recreation community with relevant, representative and engaging programming.

"It's great to bring Wyoming's outdoor recreation community together for another conference," WORS coordinator Taylor Kruger says. "The 2024 event was a success, and we brought together more than 150 people from Wyoming's outdoor recreation community. We welcome the opportunity to dive deep into new developments in the outdoor recreation field."

The theme for the 2025 summit -- Thursday-Friday, May 1-2, at UW's Marion H. Rochelle Gateway Center -- is "Outdoor Recreation in Wyoming Communities: Building Partnerships, Developing Workforce, and Accessing Resources." The event will address and explore the three aspects of outdoor recreation through presentations, panels, discussions and breakout sessions.

To submit a proposal, click on the "Call for Proposals" link at https://forms.office.com/r/hznPHjsBQh. Ideas from all organizations, agencies and groups are welcome.
