NOPD Seeking to Locate Twin Juveniles Reported as Missing, Suspect Identified

The NOPD is seeking the public's assistance in locating two juvenile females reported to be missing, as well as a suspect believed to have taken the children.

On July 31, 2024, at about 7:00 p.m., twin 8-year-old juvenile females Sofia and Alessandra Bruno (pictured), were last seen in the custody of their biological mother, Alejandra Gutierrez (pictured, Hispanic female, DOB: 02-11-1988). Gutierrez subsequently violated a court order and is currently wanted for two counts of interference with custody of a child.

Alessandra Bruno is reported to suffer from a life-threatening medical condition and requires medication she does not currently have. Because of this, a Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory has been issued via the Louisiana State Police for Alessandra Bruno.

The vehicle being utilized by Gutierrez, reported to be a 2023 Lexus RX 350 (pictured) bearing Louisiana license plate 527GTG, was last tracked to Mandeville, LA. However, no further information was available.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Anyone with additional information that can assist in this investigation is urged to contact NOPD Fourth District detectives at 504-658-6040. Those wishing to report information anonymously can do so by calling Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
