If you're looking for work, next month's Spring Career and Internship Fair at Rutgers University-New Brunswick is open to all students, alumni and the public at large.
The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 26, at Jersey Mike's Arena, 83 Rockafeller Road in Piscataway.
Recruiters from more than 150 employers will be available during the event at Livingston campus to network with prospective candidates to discuss full-time, part-time and internship opportunities from a variety of fields, according to the Office of Career Exploration and Success (CES), which is organizing the fair.
As attendee talks with a recruiter during the Fall 2023 Career and Internship Mega Fair at Rutgers University-New Brunswick.Kait Weiss, associate director of strategic outreach at CES, said the fair is open to all Rutgers students and alumni from all academic disciplines and locations (New Brunswick, Camden, Newark and Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences) and "is the only recruiting event that is open to the general public."
"We have developed many opportunities for all candidates, regardless of career interests, degree levels or citizenship," said Weiss.
Employers attending the spring fair include JPMorgan Chase & Co., Comcast NBCUniversal, Valcor Engineering Corp., Saint Peter's Healthcare System, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and the Peace Corps. Others participating include the Pennsylvania State Police, nonprofit organization Bonnie Brae, Church & Dwight Co.; Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc.; Beacon Building Products and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
"This marks the final in-person career fair of the academic year," said Lisa Goddard, senior assistant director of career and internship fairs for CES.
Goddard added the event is "an ideal opportunity for recruiters and candidates to connect through valuable networking opportunities."
The fair will be segmented by businesses and organizations that are recruiting for technical roles (science, technology, engineering, computer science and health), nontechnical jobs (business, arts, communications and education) and both technical and nontechnical posts.

CES officials said candidates are encouraged to prepare for the fair with their designated career prep tools and resources available for Rutgers-New Brunswick students. By using these resources and attending specialized events, candidates can earn a #MegaFastPass.
