Jazz Artist Nick Finzer to Perform In Concert Monday at Fowler Center

JONESBORO - Nick Finzer, jazz trombonist and composer, will be taking the stage at Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive, at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14.

DownBeat Critics note Finzer as a rising star within the jazz world. Finzer's passion for his craft has allowed him to tour the globe and share the stage with some of the most well-respected names in jazz.

"As both a headlining trombonist and an entrepreneur, Finzer is on a mission to spread the joy and power of jazz," said Dallas Martinez, director of Fowler Center.

Finzer has had a love for jazz since childhood, and since then he has developed his skills into what it is today. Finzer now has many accolades from top jazz publications and has had his songs placed in JazzWeek's Top 10 charts.

Finzer and his ensemble will perform compositions from his latest album, "Legacy," which is a centennial celebration of trombone legend J.J. Johnson.
