Man Found Sunday In River Identified

The man found in the Whites Creek section of the Cumberland River off County Hospital Road Sunday has been identified through his fingerprints as Christopher Kelley, 36.

Kelley is believed to have been involved in a single-car rollover crash on Briley Parkway near County Hospital Road on September 29. When officers arrived, the vehicle was unoccupied. A felony amount of drugs were found inside.

There were no obvious signs of trauma when Kelley's body was recovered from the water. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.

Kelley was reported as a missing person by family in Mt. Juliet on October 1.
