EU funding for EUMETSAT

The European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) plays an important role in meteorological and environmental monitoring in Europe and beyond. As such, it actively participates in the implementation of the EU space programme and other EU objectives, thereby serving the interests of European citizens.

Since EUMETSAT is a European international organisation, it receives funding under the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), as do the programmes run in collaboration with EUMETSAT.

In that context, could the Commission provide the following information:

• 1.the total amount of ongoing or future funding allocated to EUMETSAT under the 2021-2027 MFF;
• 2.the details of this funding, specifying for each programme or project the name, the amount allocated, the purpose of the funding and the period covered?
