Renton Municipal Courts appoints Yanna Filippidis as the new Judicial Administrative Officer
Starting this month, Renton Municipal Courts welcome new leadership
RENTON, WA (September 6, 2024) - Yanna Filippidis has been appointed the Renton Municipal Court's new Judicial Administrative Officer. Filippidis has been with the King County District Court for the last nine years, most recently serving as the City Operations Director, a position responsible for administering 13 municipalities that contract with King County District Court.
Filippidis has 11+ years of experience in the judicial system. After graduating from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, she began her career with the 63rd District Court in Grand Rapids, Michigan before transitioning to King County District Court where she worked in almost all clerical desks and management capacities.
Filippidis has achieved a Certified Court Management certification through the National Center for State Courts and is currently pursuing a Certified Court Executive Certification. She has also obtained a Program Management certification through the University of Washington in 2020.
"I am excited to continue my work in the judicial system in Renton. While serving several courts in Michigan and Washington, I have learned much about this system and how excellent customer service is a valuable skill to obtain with this work," said Filippidis.
Originally from Michigan, Filippidis has spent the last nine years learning and loving her new state. She currently resides in Renton with her husband and two dogs.
