Weekend Lane Closures on SR 14/Roosevelt Hwy in Union City for Resurfacing Project
ATLANTA METRO -The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors will install overnight lane closures on State Route 14/ Roosevelt Highway (SR 14) this weekend to continue a resurfacing project between State Route 138/Campbellton Fairburn Road (SR 138) and Delano Road in Union City. Resurfacing improves the roadway's deteriorating condition.
Weather and on-site conditions permitting, single left lane closures will be installed on Roosevelt Highway between Welcome All Road and Campbellton Fairburn Road beginning 8 p.m. on Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26 until 6 a.m. the following mornings. Flaggers will also be on-site to assist traffic flow through the closures.
These closures will help ensure the safety of drivers and workers as crews begin milling, inlay and resurfacing operations on the roadway. Thisprojectis scheduled for completion in spring 2025.
Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, pay attention and watch for workers. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app.
