Mariposa County

Rest Area, Lane & Ramp Closures
Interstate 5 And State Routes 99 & 140

Mariposa County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control next week on State Route-49 (SR-49) and SR-140 for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:

State Route 49

  • One-way traffic control at Penon Blanco Road for utility work on Monday, October 14, 2024, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Harris Road to Stumpfield Mountain Road for drainage work beginning Tuesday, October 15, through Thursday, October 17, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, October 18, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

State Route 140

  • One-way traffic control from beginning of the passing lane in Catheys Valley to State Route 49 North for pavement work beginning Sunday, October 13, through Monday, October 14, from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and Tuesday, October 15, through Friday, October 18, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
