The Board of Supervisors on June 27 approved a building design, bidding, and construction consulting contract with Building Envelope Consultants & Scientists LLC to repair the salt shed storage building at the Public Works area.

The existing shed has seen expected wear during its more than two decades of use due to the corrosive nature of the salt. A recently completed building assessment outlined the scope of work needed to rehabilitate the existing shed. The project will now move forward with engineering services and technical specifications being created.
