Butler County: Construction update

BUTLER COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

Through the week ending April 20, 2024: The following traffic advisory includes restrictions on the state highway system in Butler County. All work will be contingent upon the weather. NEW IMPACT

S.R. 4 Bridge Repair/Resurfacing - Between the cities of Hamilton and Middletown. Single-lane closures on S.R. 4 South, between S.R. 747 and S.R. 63, will be in place daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through early May. S.R. 4 North is reduced to one lane between Rochester Hills Drive and Roden Park Drive/Jerry Couch Boulevard. Traffic in either direction will be maintained in a minimum of one, 11-foot lane in either direction with barrels and/or traffic cones. Additional lane restrictions and closures will be in effect at various intervals during the project; however, a schedule for these restrictions has yet to be determined. The project is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2025.

CONTINUING IMPACTS

Cincinnati-Dayton Road Shared Use Path - Between Liberty Way/Hamilton Mason Road and Yankee Road. Construction of a pedestrian and bicycle path, as well as curb ramps and crosswalks at the S.R. 129 ramp intersections. Cincinnati-Dayton Road will be subject to single-lane closures daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and throughout most of the project, traffic will be maintained on adjacent roadways with intermittent lane and shoulder restrictions. Access to properties will also be maintained during construction. All work is scheduled to be completed in late summer.

S.R. 4 (Germantown Road) Resurfacing - Between Catalina Court near Middletown and the Montgomery County line. Single-lane closures may be in effect on S.R. 4 North and South daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and traffic will be maintained by flaggers during hours of operation; however, work will be suspended during the winter months. The project is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2024.

U.S. 27 Bridge Rehabilitation - At structures over S.R. 128 (Hamilton-Cleves Road). Traffic will be maintained through the work zone in a minimum of one lane in either direction. All work is scheduled to be completed in October 2024.
