PDVSA PRESIDENT TRAVELS OPERATIONAL AREA OF THE CARABOBO BLOCK OF THE ORINOCO PETROLEUM BELT HUGO CHÁVEZ

Morichal, Monagas.- With a view to touring the areas of high oil production potential nationally, the president of Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A (PDVSA) and the first oil and petrochemical worker, Pedro Rafael Tellechea, began an agenda of operational visits starting with the FajaPetrolífera del Orinoco (FPO) Hugo Chávez, where 60 percent of crude oil is produced nationally.

Upon arriving at the Morichal field of the Carabobo Division, south of the Maturín municipality of the state of Monagas, the president of PDVSA, Pedro Tellechea, was received by the Directors of the FPO HC, representatives of the Division and joint companies of the Venezuelan Oil Corporation, CVP of the area, with whom he began the tour of the Basic Production Units (UBCP) "Cacique Chaima" of the Morichal District and the Petromonagas Operating Center, Macolla 24, in the municipality of Independencia of the state of Anzoátegui where the recovery of the facilities was highlighted, allowing the activation of more than 1000 productive wells in the Carabobo Division, a figure not reached for 1215 days.

During the tour the authorities highlighted the most important achievement, obtained in the midst of blockades and sanctions; the reactivation of drilling operations through drill PDVEN-778, joint venture Petromonagas, active since December 2022, which is the first to start activity in Venezuela, after three years of paralysis in drilling.

Subsequently, he held a meeting with the leaders of the FPO that was attended by the vice president of Exploration and Production, Erick Perez; the executive director of production FPO HC, Jackeline Perico; the general manager of the Carabobo Division, Ricardo González, president of the joint venture Petromonagas, Luis Vásquez and other managers of the joint ventures of the Venezuelan Petroleum Corporation (CVP), Petrovictoria, Petrocarabobo, Petroindependencia, Petrodelta and Sinovensa Oil.

In his tour of the oil facilities, President Tellechea, evidenced the beginning of oil drilling and production activities in the country, expressing his support for workers who continue to stand, strengthening with their work, production of the country's main industry.

"I want to express my support to all workers, who remain the fundamental pillar of this industry, I am an Industry worker who came to stand with my brothers and sisters, to look for the different solutions to raise with the work of our authorities and workers the production of the Orinoco Petroleum Belt," said Tellechea.

Luis Vásquez, president of Petromonagas, stressed that the current drilling plan has been drawn in favor of the country, in addition to highlighting the milestones achieved through the working class with own resources that the oil industry has maintained.

The recovery plan of the State Oil, proposed by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro and carried out by the Minister of Oil, Tareck El Aisami, seeks to recover the production of an industry hit by the blockade and sanctions.
