SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Equality California, the nation's largest statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights organization, today announced the endorsements of ten out LGBTQ+ candidates running for local offices - the organization's latest round of endorsements in its largest get-out-the-vote effort in the organization's history.

"We are thrilled to endorse these openly LGBTQ+ candidates running for local offices," said Executive Director Tony Hoang. "With attacks on LGBTQ+ Californians increasing at the local level - including city councils and school boards across the state considering policies like Pride flag bans and the forced outing of LGBTQ+ students - it is imperative we elect representatives from our community who will lead the charge in the ongoing fight for full, lived equality. We are heartened by the success of our endorsed candidates so far in this election cycle, and look forward to supporting a strong slate heading into the general election this November."
