Wade Shows to Hold One-Day Midway Flash Sale on Tuesday, July 30

With the start of The Great New York State Fair just 22 days away, Wade Shows, the official provider of The Fair's famous Midway, has announced a 22-hour, online only flash sale beginning at 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30. To purchase tickets as part of the flash sale, please visit The Great New York State Fair's website. Tickets are first-come, first-served.

To celebrate the flash sale, "Ride All Day" Wristbands will be on sale for $22, plus fees, which is a savings of up to $23 per wristband. Wristbands are valid any day during The Fair's 13-day run and give fairgoers the ability to ride any ride of their choosing as many times as they want.

"The Midway is a cornerstone of the world-class entertainment that The Fair provides, and we're thrilled that fairgoers will be able to take advantage of this flash sale to save money on summer fun," said Fair Director Julie LaFave. "Wade Shows will feature several new attractions this year along with some fan favorites that are sure to bring countless hours of excitement to people of all ages."

After the flash sale, advance tickets to the Midway can still be purchased by visiting The Great New York State Fair's website.

"Ride All Day" Wristbands, which grant fairgoers the ability to enjoy all rides throughout one day (of their choosing) at The Fair, can be purchased now through 12 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21. After the Fair starts, wristbands will be sold at The Fair for $35 on weekdays and $45 on weekends, plus any applicable fees.

A "Mega Pass" option, which grants fairgoers unlimited rides all day, every day, is also available for pre-sale online. Fairgoers can ride as many rides as they want every day during The Great New York State Fair's 13-day run. The deal is available online through 12 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20. After The Fair begins, Mega Passes will increase to $110, plus any applicable fees.

With fees, the total cost to patrons who purchase as part of the advance sale will be:

• "Ride All Day" Wristbands: $31.25 per pass ($28 pass, $2 for funtag, $1.25 e-ticket convenience fee);
• Mega Pass: $95 per pass ($90 pass, $2 for funtag, $3 for e-ticket convenience fee)

Fairgoers may purchase either option at this link. Those purchasing a Mega Pass are encouraged to upload their photo at the time of sale to expedite the process. Mega Passes will be available for pick-up at the Gray lot located at Gate 6 at The Fairgrounds from August 17 to August 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

When The Fair begins, individual ride tickets can be purchased at any Wade Shows ticket booth on the Midway for the following:

• 5 credits for $7;
• 30 credits for $35;
• 50 credits for $50

The Midway will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, except on Labor Day, Monday, September 2, when it will close at 9 p.m. Please note, The Midway's closing time is subject to change with little notice in the event of inclement weather or other uncontrollable situations. The Fair's social media accounts - particularly its Facebook story, Twitter feed, and Instagram story - will have updates in live time.

Wade Shows, the second-largest carnival operator in the United States, will bring more than 50 thrilling and immaculately maintained rides to The Great New York State Fair, along with dozens of fun games, and classic carnival food. From hair-raising rides, including Zero Gravity, Downdraft, Mega Drop, and the State Fair Slide to fun rides designed for children like Tea Cups and Crazy Cab, the Midway offers something for thrill-seekers (and fun-seekers) of any age.

The Fair starts Wednesday, August 21, and runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 2. Admission to The Great New York State Fair includes access to 39 national recording acts. There will be a daily 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. concert at Chevy Court (located near Gate 1), and a daily 8 p.m. concert at Suburban Park (located on the western end of the Fairgrounds, beyond the Midway).
