On December 5th, 2024 at 4pm Spokane Police responded to an apartment complex in the 1700 block of East Lincoln Road on a report of stolen property. A community member located his stolen bike via a tracking device. The bike was taken from the victim's garage about a month ago. Upon finding his property, he confronted a male who told him he was the owner of the property. The victim left the location and called 911. Officers responded and attempted contact at an apartment.

Additional information was provided to officers that confirmed the stolen property was inside the apartment. A search warrant to enter the location was granted and officers contacted the occupants of the apartment, one of which was found hiding in a closet. Officers located a large quantity of stolen items inside the apartment. Multiple delivery boxes containing names of several different people were found inside as well. Other items found of note were mail, clothing, golf items and tools. All of which had no link to the occupants of the apartment.

The recovered stolen items were removed from the apartment. Zack G. Bunke (39) was taken into custody for 1st Degree Possession of Stolen Property and booked into the Spokane County Jail. The other occupant in the apartment was identified as Amanda L. Wright (42). Wright was taken into custody for Obstruction.

Today, members of the SPD Crime Analysis Unit started contacting the names listed on the recovered stolen items. 21 victims have been reunited with their stolen property. The investigation is on-going and additional charges may be forth coming.

The arrest and recovery of the large quantity of stolen property was a culmination of excellent police work by the responding patrol officers and SPD's Crime Analysis Unit.
