Secretary Blinken’s Call with Omani Foreign Minister Albusaidi

Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke today with Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi to offer condolences for the horrific shooting incident targeting worshippers at a mosque in Muscat. Secretary Blinken expressed the United States' solidarity with the people of Oman and our appreciation for the efforts of the Royal Oman Police throughout the attack.

The Secretary and Foreign Minister discussed ongoing diplomatic efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza that provides for the release of the hostages, and a significant and sustained increase in humanitarian assistance throughout Gaza. They also affirmed the strength of the bilateral relationship between the United States and Oman.
