An Introduction to Alternative Models of Housing and Homeownership – July 31

Looking for solutions that address your community's housing needs? Join the Cooperative Development Foundation (CDF)'s Affordable Housing Initiative and NCBA CLUSA's USDA NIFA-funded Strengthening Cooperative Communities project on 31 July 2024 at 2:00 pm EST for an introduction to alternative models of ownership. Affordable housing cooperatives, community land trusts, and resident-owned communities provide stable, affordable housing and allow residents to meet their needs on their terms.

In this webinar, we will introduce three shared equity housing models, providing a high-level overview of the benefits of each, the differences between them, and how they can be applied to redress the inequities committed upon historically and currently underserved communities. We will explore how these models can work in agricultural and producer communities across America's farmlands. We'll also learn what USDA funds are available to support new and existing projects.
