ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
FOR THE WEEK OF august 26 THROUGH September 1, 2024

1. 55th St. West from Las Brisas Terrace to Avenida Entrada

Intermittent shoulder closure of the No. 1 northbound lane on 55th St. West between Las Brisas Terrace and Avenida Estrada for landscape maintenance district tree trimming.

2. Las Brisas Terrace from 55th St. West to Los Amores Court

Intermittent shoulder closure of the No. 1 eastbound lane on Las Brisas Terrace between 55th St. West and Los Amores Court for landscape maintenance district tree trimming.

3. Ave. 0-8 from Rancho Vista Blvd. to 30th St. West

Intermittent lane closure of the No. 2 eastbound lane on Ave. 0-8 between Rancho Vista Blvd. and 30th St. West for landscape maintenance district tree trimming.

4. Rancho Vista Blvd. from Seville Ave. to 15th St. West

Intermittent lane closure of the No. 2 and No. 3 eastbound and westbound lanes on Rancho Vista Blvd. between Seville Ave. and 15th St. West for sewer improvements.

5. Rancho Vista Blvd. from 30th St. West to Dunbar St.

Intermittent lane closure of two eastbound lanes on Rancho Vista Blvd. from 30th St. West to Dunbar St. for sewer maintenance. Please slow down and expect delays.

Intermittent walking path, parking stall and parking lot closure at Marie Kerr Park for parks soccer field renovations.

7. Highland St. (25th St. West) from Ave. P-12 to Layla Lane

Intermittent lane closure of the No. 2 northbound lane on 25th St. West between Ave. P-12 and Layla Lane for graffiti abatement.

8. Rancho Vista Blvd. from Dunbar St to 30th St. West

Intermittent lane closure of the No. 1 West bound lane on Rancho Vista Blvd between Dunbar St. and 30th St. West for general benefits tree trimming.

12. Challenger Way from Ave. M (Columbia Way) to Ave. L

Intermittent St. and lane closures on Challenger Way for road work.

13. Ave. N from 40th St. East to 45th St. East

Road resurfacing and maintenance. To be completed August 5, 2024.

14. 40th St. East from Ave. N to Ave. N-8

15. Palmdale Transportation Center

Intermittent walking path, parking stall and parking lot closure at Palmdale Transportation Center for transit tree trimming.

16. Palmdale Transportation Center

Intermittent parking lot, parking space and walking path closure at Palmdale Transportation Center for transit planter renovations.

17. Rayburn Road and East Ave. R from Tierra Subida Ave. to Sierra Highway

Road resurfacing and maintenance. Construction will take place possibly from September to November 2024.

18. Park and Ride No. 3, Tierra Subida Ave. at Rayburn Road

Intermittent walking path, parking stall and parking lot closure at Park and Ride No. 3 for transit tree trimming.

19. Park and Ride No. 2, East Ave. S at Geiger Ave.

Intermittent walking path, parking stall and parking lot closure at Park and Ride No. 2 for transit tree trimming.

20. Park and Ride No. 1, East Ave. S at Calle Grillo

Intermittent walking path, parking stall and parking lot closure at Park and Ride No. 1 for transit tree trimming.

21. Ave. R at Division St.

Various lane closures at the intersection for utility installations. Please pay attention to the temporary traffic control, slow down for the work zone and expect delays.

22. 6th St. East from Ave. R to Palmdale Blvd.

Road resurfacing and maintenance in both directions. To be completed September 1, 2024.

23. Ave. Q-12 from 10th St. East to 12th St. East

Sidewalk installation and repairs along Ave. Q-12.

24. FULL CLOSURE - 10th St. East from Palmdale Blvd. to Ave. R

Full closure on 10th St. East. Detours will be in place over to 11th St. East from both Ave. R and Palmdale Blvd.

25. 12th St. East at Ave. Q-10

Lane closures and flagged traffic for Palmdale Water District water line project.

26. 17th St. East from Palmdale Blvd. to 500' north of Palmdale Blvd.

Lane closure on 17th St. East for water service installation.

27. Ave. R from Sierra Highway to 25th St. East

Intermittent lane closures on both sides of Ave. R for power pole removals by AT&T and Charter Communications.

28. 35th St. East from Ave. R to Ave. S

Road resurfacing and maintenance. To be completed August 21, 2024.

29. East Ave. R-8 from 37th St. East to 40th St. East

Intermittent shoulder closure of the No. 1 eastbound lane on East Ave. R-8 between 37th St. East and 40th St. East for landscape maintenance district tree trimming.

30. Ave. S from 47th St. East to 42nd St. East

Intermittent lane closure of the No. 2 westbound lane on Ave. S between 47th St. East and 42nd St. East for graffiti abatement.

31. Ave. S from 47th St. East to 42nd St. East

Intermittent lane closure of the No. 3 westbound lane on Ave. S between 47th St. East and 42nd St. East for graffiti abatement. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays.

32. FULL CLOSURE - East Ave. S-8 from 40th St. East to Serendipity Way

Full closure on Ave. S-8 between 40th St East and Serendipity Way for construction of Phase 1 of the new roundabout project at Ave. S and 40th St East. Detour signs are in place. Drivers are advised to use Ave. S and 45th St East or Pearblossom Hwy.

33. Sam Yellen Park

Intermittent walking path, parking stall and parking lot closure at Sam Yellen Park for Parks soccer field renovation.

34. Domenic Massari Park

Intermittent walking path, parking stall and parking lot closure at Domenic Massari Park for soccer field renovation and parks tree trimming.

36. Evergem Ave. from Simi St. to 65th St. East

Intermittent shoulder closure of the No. 1 westbound lane on Evergem Ave. between Simi St. and 65th St. East for landscape maintenance district tree trimming.
