City of Green Bay Hosts Annual Economic Development Conference

The City of Green Bay will serve as the host city of Insight Publications' InDevelopment conference on Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the KI Convention Center in Green Bay.

As the city prepares to showcase itself on the international stage as host of the 2025 NFL draft, a range of development projects and new opportunities are transforming the landscape.

"It's an incredible time for the city of Green Bay with several catalytic projects underway and major strides being made in housing inventory," says city of Green Bay Development Director Cheryl Renier-Wigg. "Significant public and private investments are driving unique developments that will attract tourists, offer diverse housing options, and further strengthen Green Bay's commercial and industrial sectors."

Renier-Wigg and Deputy Development Director Matt Buchanan will lead discussions on several of Green Bay's recent economic development successes and plans including the JBS housing development and the Shipyard and Rail Yard developments.

In addition to the city's developer briefings, Brian Johnson, president & CEO of On Broadway, Inc., will deliver a keynote presentation on the forthcoming Green Bay Public Market which is expected to draw 1 million visitors annually and generate more than $100 million in nearby development when it opens spring 2025.

Manny Vasquez of Pfefferle Companies will also lead a panel discussion on the state of industrial and commercial real estate. The event concludes with a networking reception at which economic development leaders from around the 18-county region of the New North provide information on development opportunities and projects in their respective communities.

"InDevelopment has been showcasing the efforts of economic developers in the New North for the past 15 years. It's amazing to see how our region has evolved in the time," said Brian Rasmussen, publisher of Insight Publications. "The conference is a must-attend for anyone invested in the prosperity of our region."

Tickets are $55 in advance, $60 at the door. For more information and to register, visit insightonbusiness.com/indevelopment.
